Advanced CFD Analysis for Air Conditioning Performance

Project Overview :

Conducted a comprehensive simulation study for a leading Indian air conditioner manufacturer to analyze and optimize the performance of their outdoor units using advanced CFD techniques.


Key Technical Achievements :

  • Implemented porous media modeling including Darcy and Forcheimmer equations

  • Developed custom scripts for viscous pressure drop effects

  • Integrated fan performance curves with actual operating characteristics

  • Employed 2R network modeling for accurate chip temperature predictions

  • Analyzed pressure loss dynamics across complete unit geometry

  • Identified airflow bottlenecks and thermal hotspots
